Mayor's Appeal Art Exhibition 2013

Last weekend I had a stall at the Saffron Walden Arts Trust's Mayor's Appeal Art Exhibition...

Sarah Turpin

It was a wonderful event with a variety of artists exhibiting their work and many demonstrating techniques throughout the day. You can see pictures of the other stalls on the Trust's Facebook page here.

I exhibited some new paintings, including 'Moon Balloon'…

…and others to be revealed soon, although you might be able to spot them in these photos...

I love a good Christmas tree, this is my Toadstool Yule Tree, which I could have sold several times over.

Received some wonderful feedback, doubled my sales on last year and had a great time meeting all the visitors. It was a great atmosphere, very busy and I'm looking forward to next years already!

Away with the Faeries...

Having recently been accused of being 'away with the faeries', so I took particular pleasure in doing just that last week...

I went away with a group of wonderful and inspiring people to Lough Arrow, Co. Sligo, Ireland. A time to breathe, heal and come back to myself while wandering in the wild places...

Walking the sacred land in wind, rain, sun and even hail...

To huddle in cairns and caves while wondering if I could fly...

...to dream of the Morrigan...

...and be lost in the mists of time...

...to hear the stories of the Tuatha de Danan and the Battle of Moytura...

...of Duirmuid and Grainne...

...to feel the Gille's tears of grief fall upon us at Lough Gill...

.
..and meet Queen Maeve at the very top of the world...
