Enter the Tanglewood and gather threads, weave a path of your own design, let your footsteps fall where they may, open your eyes and ears to the journey and it will only take you deeper...

When Jack Frost Goes a'Decorating...
A wondrous morn dawned over The Spinney, splashing pinks, oranges, blues and casting intricate silhouettes with abandon...
The birds were silent as the sky lightened to reveal trees decorated by the exquisite hands of Jack Frost...
...a garden of white trees dripping icicles and frozen breath...

Amazing nature! |
...I am humbled by his skill and delighted at his daring, it is a sight to behold...

You Believe in Magick!
On life's journey we meet people who are there simply to say the right thing at the right time. They are catalysts who trigger something within ourselves by recognising and naming that which isn't yet clear to us. Some don't stay with you forever, others are with you for life. Whether they stay or go isn't what's important, it's what they've brought out in you or taught you that is the legacy of having known each other.
This has happened to me many times, sometimes it hasn't been their own words it's been a book gifted. One I will be forever grateful to and who is still a close friend, introduced me to Louise Hay's 'You Can Heal Your Life' when I was in my early twenties. This book was really the start of my conscious journey to understanding myself on a deeper level. Later when we realised the depth of friendship between us we marked it by exchanging 'Jonathan Livingstone Seagull' by Richard Bach and Kahlil Gibran's 'The Prophet', both holding wisdom that touched our souls.
However someone I shall never forget is the friend who listened to me one evening while we were out on a Christmas works drinks many years ago. Her response was simple but effective, 'You believe in magick!'. We are no longer friends to my great grief at the time but now that's ok with me, it became a complicated friendship anyway and we moved apart as sometimes happens. I will however always remember what she said, as it brought me some magical experiences and enabled me to reclaim and own the childhood sense of wonder I still held within...

Exhibiting with Friends
Last weekend I joined forces with Amanda Clark (Earth Angels Art) and Amanda Sheldrake to put on a stall at the Mayor's Appeal Art Exhibition in Saffron Walden.
Our stall

It's the first time I've ever done a stall like this and was interested to see what the response was to my work.
My painting

My only wish with regards selling was to make back the money I'd paid for the stall....
A Witch is for Life! Not Just for Hallowe'en....
|
I did prove that a Witch is for Life! Not Just for Hallowe'en... I sold several cards of witches despite Hallowe'en having just gone...

It was hard work and great fun, I enjoyed painting all day and talking to people as well as being with other artists. I received lots of positive feedback and made more than the stall fee so I was very happy.
