An Owl in the Hand... |
Beneath white
wings, darkness curls
A mouse in a talon, meat for the powerful
hunter
Bowed with troubles and shame, a curdled sea
of loss
Shrewd eyes look deep inside soul
Hands prod, back straightened, healings
uttered
'I see you, inside and out, nothing is hidden
from my sight'
Words not needed but connections made
Those said, remain in my heart
'You are a good person!'
Owl in hand, no weight, no fear
Another meeting, bird and I in the sunlight
Wild things, trapped, caught, free
'See, I trusted you!'
Bird sits on glove without ties
Trust is a rare gift in strangers...
To my Owl Gypsy Woman, heartfelt thanks |
